1955 born in Vienna/Austria

Studied at the University of Fine Arts and the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna, later at the University “Mozarteum” in Salzburg. Grants to work in Berlin (1987), Paris (1988, 1992, 1995), New York (1989), Budapest (1990), Kraków (1992/93) and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts/USA (1993). 1991 invited to participate in an international symposium for painting in Werfen/Austria, 1995 invited to participate in a symposium in the convent of St.Lambrecht/Austria. 1999/2000 grant to work in Frankfurt (Germany), 2005 grant to work in Warszawa/Poland. 2004 travel to India, 2006 travel to Japan, 2007 residency at the Atelier Outotsu in Nishinomiya/Japan, 2009 grant to work in Vilnius/Lithuania, travel to Japan

National awards and grants for visual art and music (1991 and 92 award of the Lower Austrian government, 1989 grant of the Austrian government, 1987 and 93 grants of the government of Salzburg, 1997 Theodor Körner – Award, 2002 Slavi Soucek-Award a.o.)

1991 commission of the airport Salzburg for a painting on the outside front of the airport in relation to the genius of W.A.Mozart. 1997 commission for a mural painting in Salzburg. 2003 portfolio “Le Projecteur”, etchings and engravings, together with Gert Jonke (Éditions Akié Arichi, Paris), 2007 portfolio “Wolke und Uhr” 5 etchings, text by Ferdinand Schmatz, printed at Atelier Outotsu, Nishinomiya/Japan

2010 Artist in Residence at the Wintergreen Festival in Virginia/USA
